We are the only company able to simultaneously run all of the specific allergens in the US regional profiles including 28 food and 40 inhalants from a single drop of dried blood.

David Fleisner
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Prior to founding Spiriplex, Inc. in 2013, David spent 18 years in the clinical laboratory and medical diagnostics industry. His wealth of experience included roles as head of product development and President of Biosafe Laboratories and as CEO of Healthpoint Diagnostix. In this span, Dave and the enterprises he led, established significant joint ventures in the diagnostics arena with a number of health care clients including Novartis, Genentech, Grifols, Grifols Canada, CSL Behring, Johnson and Johnson, Bristol Myers and Amgen. Since 1999, he has also been co-owner and Chairman of Belle Holdings, Inc., a Nebraska healthcare company. Prior to entering the healthcare field in 1996, Mr. Fleisner was a former associate of a privately held financial planning and investment advisory firm. Dave has a B.S. Degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Michael S. McCoy
Executive Vice President
Mike is responsible for our operations activity, both at the lab and organizational level. He brings over 20 years of senior operations experience to the role. Prior to joining Spiriplex, Mike served as a hospital CEO, COO and Senior Vice-President of Operations in a large 17-hospital Midwestern health system with over a billion dollars of revenue and over 12,000 employees. Mike also served as a Regional Vice-President of operations responsible for two separate facilities generating over $200 million in revenue annually. Mike led the development of two new hospitals only months apart, each with over $60 million in construction, from concept to opening. Each project was on time, on budget and operational ahead of schedule. Mike has international healthcare experience, reviewing hospital operations in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Netherlands and Spain. His experience includes executive leadership roles in multi-location organizations. Mike also spent two years at IBM as an Associate Partner in the Healthcare Practice. In each setting, Mike successfully worked closely with the board of directors, medical staff, and all levels of organizations increasing quality, improving operational performance and increasing profitability. Mike has a BS in Business and Finance from Indiana University and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Washington University in St Louis.
Dennis Chookaszian
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Chookaszian served as CNA’s chairman and chief executive officer from 1992 until 1999. He also served as chairman of the executive committee of CNA from 1999 to 2001. From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Chookaszian served as CNA’s president and chief operating officer, with responsibility for all property and casualty, life, health and investment operations. Mr. Chookaszian joined CNA in 1975 and served as chief financial officer until 1990 when he was named president. He also served as chairman and CEO of mPower Inc, an internet financial advisory service, from 1999 to 2001. Prior to joining CNA, he was a management consultant with Deloitte for eight years working on various financial and systems related assignments.
Mr. Chookaszian served as chairman of FASAC (Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council) which provides guidance to the FASB (Financial Accounting Standards Board) on accounting matters for five years and completed his term in 2011. He is also a member of the FCAG (Financial Crisis Advisory Group) which is the international commission that was created to develop recommendations to solve the financial reporting problems associated with the current economic problems.
During his career, he has served as a director on the boards of twelve publicly traded corporations and fifty private corporations. He is currently a director of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the world’s largest derivatives exchange, Career Education, a private post secondary education provider, Allscripts, a leading provider of software for the Health Care sector, Internet Patents Corp, a firm that licenses Internet Patents, and MacDonald Dettwiler, a space satellite technology company. He also serves as a director of a number of private corporations and has served as an arbitrator in ten diverse cases and an expert witness in five cases.
Mr. Chookaszian is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and teaches courses in Corporate Governance. He also teaches a course in International Corporate Governance at Cheung Kong University in China, Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance in China, and at IIPM in India.
Mr. Chookaszian is a member of the national board of the Boy Scouts of America, a trustee of Northwestern University, a member of the advisory board of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a member of the advisory board of Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He is also a director of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and president of the Foundation for Health Enhancement.
Mr. Chookaszian has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago, and a master of science degree in economics from the London School of Economics. He is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Consultant as well as a member of the directors’ table of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honorary fraternity. In 2010, Mr. Chookaszian received the Outstanding Director Award from the Financial Times Outstanding Directors Exchange.
Ivor Emanuel, MD
Medical Advisory Board
Dr. Ivor Emanuel, a board certified Otolaryngologist, has been in private practice in San Francisco since 1976. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology at the University of California, San Francisco, and a member of the clinical faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology at Stanford University, Palo Alto, California. He is affiliated with Sutter General Hospital, California Pacific Medical Center and St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco.
Dr. Emanuel received his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. He completed his otolaryngology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City and a head and neck fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Emanuel is a Fellow and Past President of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is one of the very few members of both the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Emanuel has written and edited numerous scientific articles, book chapters and other professional publications. He has lectured extensively both in the United States and internationally, especially on the subject of allergy diagnosis and treatment, the use of sublingual desensitization therapy, and acute and chronic sinus disease.
He has been a medical consultant for Blue Shield of Northern California since 1985.
Dr. Emanuel’s expertise in allergy, asthma and nasal sinus disease, has enabled him to bring the latest innovations to his patients in the San Francisco area.
